Program Theme
The YHP Impact Fellowship focuses on empowering young leaders to:
- Advance health equity, especially preventing non-communicable diseases (NCDs) among youth or supporting those with rare diseases
- Take action on climate and nature, addressing the health impacts of climate change on young people
- Build health systems resilience, advocating for stronger, youth-focused health systems
Fellows will design and implement a 6–12 month project in one of these areas, working with underserved communities and demonstrating measurable impact.
Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Open to applicants from all countries
- Age: 18–30 (applications from those over 30 will be considered based on impact and engagement)
- Background: Founders or leaders of registered non-profit organizations operating for at least 3 years
- Requirements:
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Ability to attend the One Young World Summit in person (2–7 November 2026)
- Access to the internet and a device for online sessions (not provided)
- Organization must be funding-ready and able to provide English documentation for verification
- Project must focus on health equity, climate and nature action, or health systems resilience, and serve underserved communities
- Organization’s annual income must meet grant eligibility thresholds:
- $10,000–$1,000,000 for $10,000 grant
- $100,000–$2,000,000 for $50,000 grant
- Projects must be inclusive, non-discriminatory, measurable, and completed by December 2027
