Program Details

Interns will be matched with Japanese small and medium-sized enterprises based on their skills and interests. Participants will collaborate with host companies on real-world projects, submit daily reports, and present their achievements at the end of the internship.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: Citizens of OECD/DAC countries (excluding the People’s Republic of China). Applicants residing outside their home country are eligible, but current residents of Japan are not.
  • Age: Generally between 18 and 39 years old as of August 24, 2026.
  • Background: Final-year students or graduates (undergraduate or graduate) from universities in Japan or overseas. Candidates should aspire to roles such as engineers, researchers, interpreters, sales, or legal/accounting professionals in Japanese companies.
  • Requirements:
    • Support the program’s goals and commit to contributing to Japanese companies’ internationalization
    • Proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N3/CEFR B1) or English
    • Ability to submit required documents (enrollment/graduation certificates, recommendation letters, language test scores, etc.)
    • Willingness to participate fully in all training and internship activities
    • No prior participation in this program from FY2016 to FY2025
    • Not currently employed in Japan (unless seeking to change jobs to Japan)
