Program Details
The SEAP Fellowship is designed for early-career professionals passionate about human rights, statelessness, and legal identity systems. Fellows will work closely with the NFA research team to update and verify the Second Edition of SEAP, focusing on Southeast Asia, East Asia, and Central Asia. Responsibilities include factchecking, conducting additional research, updating website and report content, and integrating citations. The fellowship is remote, with periodic in-person meetings if necessary, and fellows are expected to manage their work independently.
Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Open to early-career professionals based in the Asia Pacific region
- Background: Preferably in human rights, law, public policy, international relations, or related fields
- Requirements:
- Strong desk research, writing, and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and organizational ability
- Ability to synthesize information clearly
- Comfortable working independently and remotely
- Reliable in meeting deadlines and maintaining communication
- Knowledge of citizenship rights, statelessness, or legal identity systems is desirable
- Experience in research projects, human rights initiatives, or non-profit organizations is an advantage
- Persons with lived experience of statelessness will be prioritized
