Program Theme
The Summer School focuses on “Ocean Literacy & Collaboration in the Mediterranean Sea and Black Sea.” Participants will explore topics such as ocean literacy, science communication, empathy, sustainable ocean tourism, and policy advocacy. The program aims to enhance collaboration skills, foster interdisciplinary teamwork, and promote sustainable blue economy initiatives in coastal cities. Activities will include both online modules and in-person sessions, all conducted in English.
Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Open to youth from EU and non-EU European countries, with priority for those from Mediterranean and Black Sea regions
- Age: Up to 35 years old
- Background: Students from Masters and PhD programs or early career professionals from all sectors are encouraged to apply; interdisciplinary participation is emphasized
- Requirements: Gender balance and geographical representation will be considered; members of the Youth4Ocean Forum and Early Career Ocean Professionals (ECOPs) are strongly encouraged to apply
